Note on Wife: Gladys Marie STAMPER
Gladys Marie Stamper Jones, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015 at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living.
She was born August 8, 1935, in Washington County, Virginia to Gilmore H. and Elizabeth Moore Stamper. Gladys was retired from the Stokes County School System as a Guidance Counselor with 30 years of service; she was a member of First Baptist Church of Walnut Cove, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Deacon, and was very active in the church being on several committees, and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gladys is survived by her 2 sons, Jeff Jones and wife Jennifer of Hillsborough, John Jones of Florenceville, Ga. 6 grandchildren; Cameron Jones, Libby Jones, Wyatt Jones, Zach Jones, Matt Jones and Lauren Jones.
