Edith Oakley Joyce Moore, 90, of 1461 North View Church Rd, passed away, July 28, 2011, at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., July 31, 2011, at North View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Milton Gunter officiating. Mrs. Moore was born September 9, 1920, in Stokes County to the late Bert and Ida Hawkins Oakley. She was a member of North View Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from Pannill Knitting Company. After retirement, she worked at the Danbury Library for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Durward G. Joyce and Clayton Chafin Moore; sons, Ronald and Gary Joyce; brothers, Foil and Joe Oakley; and sister, Wilma Oakley. Survivors include a son, Kelly Joyce (Annette) of Stokesdale; a daughter, Sharon Joyce of Winston Salem; step-daughter, Nancy Collins (Frank), also of Winston Salem; daughter-in-law, Annie Ruth Joyce of Westfield; sister-in-law, Rachel Oakley of Walkertown; special nephew, Joey Oakley; and special nieces, Libby Hill, Margie Grogan, and Dorothy Shaffer.
