Oneida Young Oct. 24, 1924 - Feb. 7, 2013 Mrs. Oneida Young, age 88, of Walnut Cove, widow of the late Paul Otis Young, Sr., passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013. She was born on October 24, 1924 in Stokes County to the late James Hobart and Gillie Moran Bennett. She was devoted to her family and dedicated to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; she took every opportunity to speak with others about Jesus and the way to salvation. Mrs. Young is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dinah Cook (Jerry) of Walnut Cove; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul Young, Jr. (Phyllis) of Wesley Chapel, FL; one grandson, Neil Young (Nellie) of Zephyrhills, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Buddy Bennett (Hazel) of Walnut Cove; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane Lewis (Harold) of Walnut Cove. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Hovis and J.O. Bennett; and two sisters, Josephine Lineberry and Kathy Trueblood. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Heitman officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
