Note on Wife: Lorene NELSON
Mrs. Lorene Nelson Young died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Wake Forest University Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1915 in Stokes County, North Carolina to Alex and Verda Nelson. Mrs. Young worked a number of years at Old Salem Visitors' Center and was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Nathaniel Young. Surviving are two sons, Harvey Nathaniel Young Jr. of Wilmington, NC and Joe Robert Young and wife, Pat of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Kelly Young Williams and husband, David of Charlotte, NC and Ashley Bennett Young of Winston-Salem; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Young of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews
