Charles A. Young, 65, of Morehead City, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Timothy J. Havlicek officiating. Mr. Young was born on July 7, 1948 in Winston Salem to Grady L. and Rose Young. He retired as Port Director for U. S. Customs in Morehead City. He was an avid Tarheel fan. He is survived by his wife, Silvia C. Young, and daughter, Patricia Jane Young, both of Morehead City. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. His parents and a brother, Mark Young, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Carteret High School Color Guard, 4700 Country Club Road, Morehead City, NC 28557.
