Note on Wife: Etta Jean LONG
Etta was born March 26, 1942 in Buncombe County to Wayne Rufus Long and Henrietta Bolton Long. She worked for many years as a teacher’s aide at Northwest Elementary in Davidson County and was a member of Forsyth Civitan Club. Etta was a member of Advent Moravian Church, where she served as Co-Chair of the Board of Elders. Serving at her church was very important to her, and she dearly loved her church family and friends.
